Hello friends, family, patients, and others following my updates.

Latest news from 3 weeks at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, April 29th to May 17th, 2024.

I am nearly done with daily radiation therapy, 3 weeks, 5 days per week, 15 treatment sessions. Additionally they have me taking capecitabine twice daily, an oral chemotherapy drug. Together, the radiation and oral chemo is referred to as "chemoradiation therapy."

Radiation is performed using technology not available in New England. The machine is called "ETHOS," and it supplies high energy photon radiation beams in an arc around my body. This allows the radiation to concentrate on the pancreas but spare damage to surrounding organs. They are hitting the main tumor body, the small cluster of cells spreading away from the main tumor body along the blood vessels, and a questionable lymph node.

I am positioned each day using a mold that was custom made to my body, as well as three tattoos on my chest that align my body to the machine. CAT scans are taken of the tumor, then my tumor is aligned to the machine. They take 2 to 3 CAT scans each treatment day in order to position the tumor as precisely as possible. Then they have me breath-hold, as the radiation sequence is blasting the tumor, so that my breathing does not move the tumor in relation to the machine. It's incredibly precise science. My radiation-oncologist is one of the top doctors in his field, having published 175 research papers.

What are the next steps? We met with our medical oncologist today who answered this question. Oral chemotherapy will be applied for the next year at least. Capecitabine twice daily, one week on and one week off, then repeat. I've tolerated this medicine very well, so I have no concerns about staying on it. I am to be reimaged every 2 to 3 months.

Meanwhile, I am pursuing surgical consultations at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX in mid-June (16th-18th). I'm also working on setting up surgical consults at John's Hopkins Pancreatic Cancer Center in Maryland. Sloan Kettering in NYC is a consideration too. If someone can help remove this cancer, that would be a miracle. If no one can help, then I'll take this news better hearing it from several top specialists in the country, not just one.

We appreciate all of your ongoing support, prayers, and well wishes.

Sincerely,

Adam L.

This man is tricking you all, what he did not mention is that he has three OLDER children: Paul, Benjamin and Patrick Lauer. I have known them for years as they've grown and they live in Adam's hometown of Bridgton, Maine.

He abandoned them years ago and started a new family, they have grown into fantastic men and are a huge part of the community. I have known them and their grandparents, Linda and Lonnie Lauer for years, and will inform you all that no one has informed them about this news.

It was published in the local church and I informed them.

Shame on you, this is not what God would want. I have informed them and Adam's eldest…
